Growing up in Iowa gave me a love for the country. My grandmother raised chickens for meat and eggs and I use to love going out to gather the eggs for her on weekends and during the summer. Years later all grown up I left the rural areas of Iowa and moved to a small urban city where life is a lot more hectic. I missed the charm of the country so I started collecting things for my kitchen that involved roosters. It started with rooster wallpaper trim and rooster curtains. I decided maybe I should share my love of the colorful rooster to others who love the charm of country life also. That is what prompted me to open Country Kitchen Roosters.
